Cirque du Litor, from Col du Soulor. Fantastic weather for a change. The road remains closed and the avalanche risk is high. Should be open in a couple of weeks if the good weather lasts.

It has been very cold this last 2 weeks. We have had nighttime temperatures of -10c and days not much above 0c. I have been getting out on the bike lots despite this, mostly on the valley floor where it is flat. The biggest climb I have done was to Hautacam where is was a rather sharp -6.4c.For the descent I had 6 layers on. The weather has improved and should remain much warmer from now until christmas.

Col du Soulor, a favourite watering hole, not today.
